Cool Klamath River (Winter Steelhead)

Some nice fresh winter steelhead are being caught on the Klamath River, we have been seeing 10 to 15 fish per boat for the last week. If you like to fish with out the crowds the Klamath River is the place for you.

Love the Klamath. Been fishing it since 1965, at the old bluff creek campground to the confluence with the T.
Used to spend the mid two weeks of September there. Good fish, along with an occasional Salmon.

Ishi Pishi falls was open then. The hoopnetters did fine, and the rest of us below did equally well.
Just had to get below the fish quickly otherwise your fish would end up at the confluence with the Salmon.

Now its a month in October, with opes of enough water releases.
Let us not have anymore fish kills. That is just plain stupid.
